The Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary covers 26,000 hectares of the Lower Kinabatangan and it is one of only two areas in the world inhabited by ten species of primate, four of which are endemic to Borneo. Danum Valley Conservation Area is 438 square kilometres and the area has been recognised as one of the world’s most complex ecosystems and as been classified as a Class I protected rainforest – not surprisingly it ishome to over 15,000 plant species. Tabin Wildlife Reserve is the largest wildlife reserve in Malaysia, with a total land area of 123,000 hectare.
