PADI Digital Underwater Photography ‘DUP’ Diver Speciality Course, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
The PADI Digital Underwater Photography ‘DUP’ Diver Speciality Course, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with Borneo Dream is a two-part (Level One and Level Two) introduction to digital underwater photography centred around today’s point-and-shoot digital cameras. The PADI Underwater Digital Photographer course helps student divers develop the knowledge, skills and practical techniques necessary to obtain excellent photographs with a digital camera, even on their first photo dive.
The PADI Underwater Digital Photographer course has two (2) ocean dives or snorkel sessions and is one (1) day duration. The course takes place in the safe training conditions of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.
Level One of the PADI Underwater Digital Photographer course guides students in achieving good results easily, even if they’ve never used a digital camera before. In Level One, students learn about the following:
- Equipment they need to take great underwater photographs and how to prepare their underwater housing and camera
- Basic underwater photo techniques while diving in an environmentally friendly manner.
After students successfully complete Level One, they may move on to Level Two to learn how to make their photographs even better. Level Two expands what you need to know about the following: file formats, resolution settings, making their images lighter or darker, getting good colour, composing a photo and downloading photographs into a computer and adjusting them to look their best.
If you are not confident about your diving buoyancy then you could complete the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Course first as great buoyancy and great photo skills go hand in hand together. You could also consider joining a Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park Diving Trip after your PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course so you get the opportunity to practice your new found photography skills.
