Wetsuits
Wetsuits and Rash Guards | Warm and happy with Borneo Dream
Wetsuits are generally constructed from close cell neoprene in an assortment of colours and styles. They might have pads and wear patches along with zips for easy donning. And they must look good as we do want our wetsuits to make us look like the Michelin Man 🙂
Wetsuits keep you warm and toasty by trapping a small amount of water between it and your skin and thus your body heats up this water and providing you with an increased thermal barrier. It very important when choosing a wetsuit to make sure it fit is just right. They should be snug but not to tight and certainly not loose otherwise the water will just flow too freely. If you feel you are not happy with the fit of the off the peg suits there are many who will offer a made to measure service – Rubber-Jungle in Australia for example.

The suits play a vital role both in scuba diving and snorkelling adventures alike. In both provide us with warmth and comfort. But in scuba diving, they give you protection against the BCD and weight belt from rubbing our bodies. When using wetsuits for snorkelling tours and trips they give you added comfort of not only warmth but helping you relax. They do this by giving you extra buoyancy whilst on the surface of the water. This is great for those of us not so hot on swimming.
Please feel free to visit our Wisma Sabah store in down Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and try on a few of our wetsuits and rash guards.
