Scuba diving packages at Lankayan Island Dive Resort
Lankayan Island is covered by thick tropical rainforest and ringed by pure white sandy beach. The Resort has a handful of wooden, roomy and perfectly appointed seafront double-occupancy chalets. Meals are served at the central open building which boasts an open-air wooden terrace, the ideal spot for after dinner, relaxation and chatting, all the while admiring the dozens of juvenile black tip sharks swimming leisurely a few feet beneath.
After a dive, the place for relaxation is the upper lounge which overlooks the western beach and jetty. Here, you can enjoy some sun with a favourite cool drink.
The Diver Package at Lankayan Island Resort includes 3 boat dives a day (excluding arrival and departure dates) and some additional diving on Day 1 on the house reefs. The Diver Package above includes the following diving / snorkelling activities:
- Snorkelling from the the Island (from the shore or from Lankayan dive centre).
- 3 guided boat dives daily except on arrival and departure day (for diver only).
- Unlimited house reef dive in front of Lankayan Dive Centre - unguided and must dive with buddy.
The Diver and Snorkeller packages at Lankayan Island Resort include accommodation, meals, transfers from Sandakan airport to the Resort.
The package prices for Lankayan Island Resort exclude flights to Sandakan, single supplement (for one person staying in a Chalet), gear rental and personal spend.
Notes - Scuba Diving & Snorkelling Packages at Lankayan Island Resort, Sabah, Malaysia
The boat schedules for checking into and checking out of Lankayan Island Resort are as follows:
- Sandakan to Lankayan 10.00 am (Fixed Time). The recommended arrival flight (BKI - Sandakan) is the MH2042 (0730 / 0810hrs) with Malaysia Airlines.
- Lankayan to Sandakan 7.00 am (Fixed Time). The recommended departure flight (Sandakan - BKI) is the MH2709 (1400 / 1445hrs) with Malaysia Airlines.
During July, August & September 2017 the boat transfers to and from Lankayan Island Resort will be on daily basis. During other months boat transfers to, and from, Lankayan Island Resort will only be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The boat transfer from the jetty in Sandakan to the Resort is ~ 1 hour 40 minutes (in normal sea conditions). Whilst the boat has a front cabin area, you may get wet from sea spray during the crossing. Your luggage will be protected (stored in the cabin and wrapped in a protective plastic cover). We advise you to wear a waterproof jacket / poncho during the boat transfers (and wear clothes that you don't mid getting wet from sea spray).
