Do you want to enjoy Scuba Diving in Kota Kinabalu to some unexplored, coral reefs during your holiday to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah? Then join us on a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga.

The island is located Pulau Tiga Marine Park meaning the reefs are protected for conservation purposes by Sabah Parks – good news for scuba divers looking to dive pretty, living coral reefs. During a dive trip to Pulau Tiga enjoy scuba diving some of the 8 dive sites Borneo Dream has identified around the South and West of Pulau Tiga. The dive depths range between 6m – 20m, the visibility is generally 5m – 20m with occasional strong currents on certain dive sites. This makes dive trips to Pulau Tiga, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia suitable for experienced leisure divers, some drift diving and lots of underwater photography!

During a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga you will dive by large coral covered pinnacles, coral bombies and busy cleaning stations. The hard and soft corals are breath taking, including large colourful barrel sponges adorned with Feather Stars, Whip Coral, Table Coral, Gorgonian fans and more. Look out for an amazing variety of marine life including large beds of Anemones and Clown fish, darting Fusliers, Nudibranches, schooling Barracuda, Blue Spotted Rays, Cuttle Fish, Lobsters and more.

Please note – we need a minimum 4 divers for a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga.

Trip Itinerary - Pulau Tiga 'Survivor Island' Scuba Diving Day Trips, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

It's an earlier start to the day - meet for 07:50hrs at the entrance to Jesselton Point Jetty in central Kota Kinabalu. Once all the boat briefings and diver checks are completed our boats departs and we head south for around 1.5 hours or 32 nautical miles to the first dive site at Pulau Tiga.

Join a scuba diving adventure from Kota Kinabalu to Pulau Tiga!

We will complete two leisure or fun dives in morning with 1 hour surface interval between. Both between the dives and after the second dive a selection of fruit, snacks and refreshments will be offered, before we start the journey home. You will return back to Jesselton Point Jetty around 14:30hrs.

Trip Pre-requisites

You need to be an experienced, confident certified diver, minimum PADI Open Water Diver, to join the Pulau Tiga scuba diving trip with experience of diving in currents and drift diving. You will need to bring your diver certification card with you to show your Dive Guide at the start of the scuba diving trip.

Trip Inclusions

  • Return boat transfers from Jesselton Point Jetty.
  • Jesselton jetty fee.
  • Free use of our rental dive gear (mask, full foot fins, shorty tropical 3mm wetsuit, BCD, regulator & gauges, weight belt with weights, cylinders filled with air).
  • 2 x Guided boat dives with guiding by our experienced, friendly PADI Dive Crew.
  • Meals: 'picnic style' lunch (fruit, crips, snacks).
  • Free flow water and snacks (biscuits, sweets) on our boats.

Trip Exclusions

A full lunch is not provided. You could choose to rent an underwater camera with housing to take photos during your dives at Pulau Tiga.

Recommended Packing List For The Trip - Pulau Tiga 'Survivor Island' Scuba Diving Day Trips, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Diver certification card, dive log book, swim wear, towel, dry clothes, sun tan lotion, sun hat and sun glasses. If you suffer from sea sickness it is recommended you take sea sickness tablets (suitable for divers) before joining this trip.
