“Superb place for learning and experience diving”

BDT is a very good and organised company for diving. My 2 friends achieved their Open water certificate with good practice. I had totally 7 dives which I explored the colourful picture of the islands.

Thanks for Joanne, Melissa & Jones for the tailor-made arrangement (we are trouble guys... Haha!) You guys took care of us from the first point where we arrived in KK. We won't have such pleasant journey without your help.

Thanks Andrew for conducting the OW course for my friends. I abstracted their comments as: a responsible, good sense of safety, sincere, passionate, sense of humour coach. (Don't bother with the stubborn student anymore, hoho!). Thanks for bringing a good start for their diving experience.

For me, my special thanks to Amir & Basir. You both are so considerate that I gained a lot of fun and happiness in each dive. Surely I appreciated that you helped me to recognise more different creatures in the sea, thanks for showing me. Basir, thanks for showing me the tortoises. You know there is the first time I observed a creative in a clam mode, very enjoyable. You will in my 1st recommendation list for sure. (Don't miss me)

“Great PADI open water course”

I recently completed the open water course with 3 friends. Our instructor Amir was really calm and explained everything well. We managed to complete the skills fairly quickly so there was plenty of time for having some fun and exploring the beautiful reefs around the island. All the staff on the boat and at the centre were welcoming and helpful which made our 4 day course a very enjoyable experience!

We booked on line and they were very accommodating including separate dive master for my Chinese parents in law, who was very patient and held their hand to do their dive. Our dive master was exceptional and lead us on a hunt for turtles :) beautiful area and well worth coming and saying hello to our new friends. Fin & Maggie

YuJin & Basil were great dive masters. Six dives over two days and all were safe, fun & filled with marine life. I would definitely rebook with Borneo Dream if I return to Kota Kinabalu.

“Enjoyed our diving with Borneo Dream"
Whilst in Kota Kinabalu my wife and I did several dives including my Advanced Open Water. We very much enjoyed diving with the team who provided a chilled out and fun environment in which to dive. The staff were very nice and polite and the organisation prior to arriving in country was first rate to ensure I was well prepared to conduct the course. Special thanks to Eugene, our instructor, Melissa and Jones for their help and support during our stay.

We took the tour to Mt Kinabalu and on to the hot springs and bridge. An excellent day out, well organised and with a knowledgeable guide. We liked the lunch at a local restaurant. We were able to choose to spend more time at one location and less at others. Very strongly recommend

Great team and great dive experience. The material is okay. Good quality products and brands.
The dives were awesome and the guide showed us quite a lot.
Included with our trip lunch. Big portion and good food for free from a menu. Vegetarian meal are available as well. On the boat tea and coffee for free and small biscuits. Water as well for free on the boat. Good dive centre and really professional.

My previous open water dives were in Barbados with a dive team that were so unsafe I wasn't sure I would dive again. This experience has rebuilt my confidence. We did three dives in the day on different colourful reefs with lots of great things to see, but most importantly I was cared for and allowed to feel safe and have my confidence restored. I learnt a lot and improved my diving while having fun and seeing great things. The large turtle eating a large fish was a delight to watch. Very professional and nice people, there were also very experienced divers on the boat and they were catered for too with different instructors.

Open Water Certification & 4D 3N Jungle Adventure
We took our Open Water Certification with Borneo Dream after doing some research of dive schools in the local area. We settled on them as they had good reviews and good prices. We were not disappointed! Our instructors were really knowledgeable with decades of diving experience between them and doing the course was so much fun! Our confined water dives we did just off Sapi Island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, which I was really pleased with, we had tropical fish swimming all around us as we learned the basics, & it felt like a more comfortable transition from learning to actual diving than maybe doing the confined dives in the pool would have been. The dives themselves were really fun, we did 2 on the House Reef and the other 2 in the Coral Garden, different sections each time. Saw a bunch of pufferfish, lionfish, barracuda, stingrays, mantis shrimp, a moray eel and loads of other fish.

We also chose to book with Borneo Dream for a 4D3N tour, which took in a Turtle Sanctuary, where we got to see a Turtle give birth and then some baby turtles released into the wild, which was magical. We initially thought this might be a if you're lucky kind of situation but it happens every night. And it's great. Second day we visited the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and the Sun Bear Sanctuary in the morning, both of which were awesome, and then went to the Kinabatangan Lodge in the jungle, where we stayed a further 2 nights. During this time we took two sunrise river cruises, two sunset river cruises, 2 night hikes through the jungle and one trek to an Oxbow Lake. This entire experience has been incredible. In the wild we saw Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys, Silver Langurs, Saltwater Crocodiles, all kinds of birds and spiders and scorpions and generally just had an amazing time. Falling asleep in our bamboo hut listening to the sounds of the rainforest was truly magical. On the last day we visited the Gomantong Caves and we saw a mother and baby Orangutan and some red leaf monkeys as an added bonus to the cave itself, which was immense and really cool.

Big shout out to our Jungle Guide James, who was with us for the whole four days and was an all around great guy. He was really knowledgeable and really friendly and approachable - an amaing guide, we couldn't have hoped for better.

Really enjoyed both of our experiences - thanks Borneo Dream! :)

We would like to thank Borneo Dream for an absolutely fantastic, once-in-a-lifetime trip. From planning, to arrival, to all the activities that the team organised for us, everything went smoothly and we received first class service. The dive team in particular really looked after us, as well as our guide Rudy in Sandakan. I will definitely be recommending to family and friends all over the world. Borneo Dream made a dream come true. Anjali and Neha
