Package 1 = 5* Learn to Dive in Style
Do you fancy learning to dive in the tropical waters of the South China Sea? Then complete PADI Open Water Diver course with Borneo Dream. Spend six days in Kota Kinabalu and enjoy staying at the 5* Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa whilst completing the 3.5 day PADI Open Water Diver course.
The outline itinerary is as follows:
- Day 1 = Arrive in Kota Kinabalu. Check in to Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa.
- Day 2 = Half day pre-study session for your PADI Open Water Diver course at our office (~ 4 hours). Rest of day is free to make the most of the facilities at your Resort.
- Day 3 = PADI Open Water Diver course (Day 1)
- Day 4 = PADI Open Water Diver course (Day 2)
- Day 5 = PADI Open Water Diver course (Day 3). Leave 18 hours free after diving before your departure flight, in line with recommended diving safety practices.
- Day 6 = Check out of the Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa. Depart Kota Kinabalu.
Package 2 = 5* Leisure Diving in Style
If you are already a certified diver and fancy enjoying a few days of chilled out, enjoyable leisure diving during your holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah then you should consider our 5* Leisure Diving in Style Package. Join us for our diving trips to nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. In the Marine Park we visit > 20 different dive sites. The diving in the Marine Park involves easy diving along pretty coral reefs. The depth of the dive sites range from 5m - 30m. It's a good place for chilled out diving and, with such a wide choice of dive sites, we can tailor our diving trips to TARP to meet the needs of experienced divers, certified divers who have not dived in a while as well as newer divers.
The outline itinerary is as follows:
- Day 1 = Arrive in Kota Kinabalu. Check in to Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa.
- Day 2 = Leisure diving in nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (2 Dives).
- Day 3 = Leisure diving in nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (2 Dives).
- Day 4 = Leisure diving in nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (2 Dives).
- Day 5 = Day free to enjoy the range of facilities at your Resort.
- Day 6 = Check out of the Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa. Depart Kota Kinabalu.
Package Prices
We are pleased to offer the following prices for booking your 5* dive and stay package with Borneo Dream (based on 2 persons booking together).
- 5* Learn to Dive in Style (off peak) = RM3,105 per person.
- 5* Learn to Dive in Style (peak) = RM3,580 per person.
- 5* Leisure Diving in Style (off peak) = RM2,750 per person.
- 5* Leisure Diving in Style (peak) = RM3,225 per person.
The package prices above are based on two persons booking the same package together and are valid for 2011. The package price includes the following:
- Diving as stated in the itinerary.
- All the usual full range of inclusions for our diving trips and diving courses.
- Hotel transfers (pick up drop off) for your Borneo Dream diving trip / course.
- Accommodation - twin sharing a Mountain View Twin Sharing room at the Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa (includes breakfast for 2 persons) for the number of nights specified in the package itinerary.
The package price excludes the following:
- Flights (domestic and international)
- Airport transfers
- Meals not included in our diving trips / course
- Personal spend
- Single supplement
Please note we can upgrade to a Sea View Room (or other room types) at the Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa – a surcharge will be applicable. Just let us know if you are interested in having a sea view during the day, when diving with us, and at your Resort.
Your Stay at the 5* Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa
Accommodation will be arranged for your stay in a Mountain View Twin Sharing room at the 5* Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa. Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa is located just 10 minutes away from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Kota Kinabalu city centre and the five beautiful coral islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park.
You will be staying in a Mountain View Twin Sharing room. All guest rooms are fully equipped with modern amenities including:- private balcony, broadband Internet Access and dual line telephone, separate bath and shower, iron with ironing board, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, electronic safe and television with 24-hour cable news, satellite and free in-house movie channels.
During your stay at the Resort you can also make the most of the recreation facilities such as the 9 – hole pitch and putt golf course, brand new water play area with water slides, 2,000 square metre swimming pool with tapered shoreline, infinity section and jacuzzi beds, luxurious Health Club, leisure centre, private beach and CHI, The Spa.
There are also seven bars and restaurants to choose from at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa for a relaxing evening after your enjoyable day of scuba diving.
