| Snorkelling & Skin Diving in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia Tour Description 1. PADI Discover Snorkeling Are you already a competent snorkeller or would you like to take that first step into the ocean world? Join one of Borneodreams many trips over to TARP (click here for more info on TARP) and be amazed and astounded by the myriad of fascinating creatures in the underwater world. We will take you over on our boat and help you find a good spot to snorkel safely and if you are new to snorkelling we can give you some tips to improve your experience. The basic snorkelling trip is a half day excursion available to anyone - there are no age restrictions but we ask that anyone under 18 yrs old be accompanied by a Parent or guardian. This trip would be ideal for a birthday party or family group - let us know if you have any special requirements that would help to make the day extra special and we can work with you to tailor the experience. . . . contact us. 2. PADI Skin Diver If you wish to become better at snorkeling then we can offer a days experience which is a recognised PADI qualification in Skin Diving. This is open to anyone over 8yrs of age but we ask that anyone under 18 yrs of age be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be taught about your equipment, including preparing it properly, air-way control and snorkel cleaning methods to ensure your safety and enjoyment. We can also instruct you in duck diving techniques to allow you to get close up and personal to the creatures of the underwater world. This is a full day trip. You will start in shallow water and then progress to some close underwater world interactions later in the day. On both trips you will be supervised by a PADI Dive Professional that will be with you at all times throughout the days activity. All our Dive Professionals are insured and are in 'Active Teaching Status' with PADI. You can verify this by asking for their qualification card - only those in 'Active teaching Status" holding a qualification of PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher may teach you.
