IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Course
The IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Program with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia is an entry level technical diving course providing a fuller understanding of the use of Enriched Air and Trimix, within recreational diving limits.
The course expands upon dive planning, techniques, and deep diving theory, certifying the diver to make dives beyond recreational no-decompression limits. It is a prerequisite for the IANTD Normoxic Course.
The IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Program content with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia is as follows:- Two hours minimum confined water skill development session
- Maximum depth 45 metres
- Four boat dives for a minimum of 120 minutes of bottom time, at least two of which will be on Trimix with a maximum Equivalent Narcosis Depth of 24 metres
- 41 - 50% Nitrox used on simulated and real decompression stops
- Decompression stops limited to a maximum of 15 minutes
- Academic presentations
- Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Recreational Trimix diver certified and/or Nitrox (EANx40) diver certified
- IANTD Deep Diver or equivalent. Equivalency is defined as AOW diver with 50 logged dives – ten deeper than 27 metres and also to pass the Deep Diver exam as a pre-assessment.
- IANTD Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver manual
- IANTD Wall certificate and C-card
- The use of appropriate wing, harness, Oxygen clean cylinders, regulators and boat
The course price does not included gases (Oxygen or Helium) and we typically charge around RM 25 for a single 80 CuFt. (11.25 Litre) filled with EANx32.
Students will require two plastic underwater slates or appropriate submersible dive tables, line and reel with lift bag or safety balloon, knife, surface signal device such as Dive Alert and preferably own means of monitoring depth, time, and direction. This equipment will be available for rent.
This program may be combined with the IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver Course and takes 5/6 days to complete. Become a technical diver today!
