More About SDI - Scuba Diving International
Scuba Diving International (SDI), Technical Diving International (TDI), and Emergency Response Diving International (ERDI) form one of the largest certification agencies in the world. Their offices service more than 100 countries and there are thousands of SDI training facilities and instructors around the world.
SDI is the sport (recreational) diving division of TDI. Although SDI/TDI/ERDI is considered to be one of the newer organizations in the industry, it is viewed as one of the most professional and progressive certification agencies.
SDI focuses on providing diving courses that are tailored to the way today’s diver wants to learn to dive. One example is that SDI was the first agency to require the use of personal dive computers by all divers during every dive. This new standard was put in place because dive computers were and are used daily by all diving professionals to make diving safer and more enjoyable.
