SDI Deep Diver Course
Some divers enjoy going on deeper recreational dives – there may be a wreck to see, some amazing coral reef drop-off or you could be looking for sharks that like cooler water temperatures.
SDI’s Deep Diver course with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia is a must for any diver wishing to explore a little deeper and will teach you the risks and benefits of deep diving. During the diving course, you will learn the following deep diving skills:
- Proper descents
- Air management
- Effects of nitrogen narcosis
- Dive planning for deeper recreational dives
You will practice using these skills during the one day course with two course dives.
The SDI Deep Diver course certifies you to dive to a maximum depth of 40m /130ft, the suggested sport recreational diving limit.
Please note that there are a few pre-requisites before you start your SDI Deep Diver course:
- You need to be 15 years or older.
- You must be minimum a SDI Open Water Scuba Diver (or equivalent).
- You must be comfortable in water and a good swimmer.
- You should be in good health and if you are on any medication you should consult your doctor before signing up.
- And you will need to complete a small amount of paperwork – the SDI forms can be downloaded and completed in advance (in the case of under 18's by the Parent or Guardian)
