PADI Drift Diver
The PADI Drift Diver Speciality course with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is intended to serve as a safe and supervised introduction to drift diving in the underwater environment. The goals of PADI Drift Diver course are:-
- To develop the student’s practical knowledge of drift diving.
- To enable the students to plan, organize and make dives using safe drift diving techniques.
During the course our PADI Instructor will familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and enjoyment of drift diving.
The PADI Drift Diver Speciality course will be run over a maximum of one (1) day and include two (2) ocean dives.
The course takes place during either a diving day trip to Mayne Rock or Pulau Tiga. For both scuba diving trips we need minimum four (4) divers.
The minimum age for attending the PADI Drift Diver Specialty course is 10 years. You must already hold a PADI Open Water Diver or similar certification - for PADI Open Water Divers the maximum depth during training will be 18m, for PADI Advanced Open Water Divers this can be increased to 30m.
The course takes place during either a diving day trip to Mayne Rock or Pulau Tiga - dive sites that typically have currents. For both scuba diving trips we need minimum four (4) divers.
