Borneo Dream Diving Day Trips - Inclusions & Diver Requirements
Borneo Dream scuba diving day trips depart from Jesselton Point, Kota Kinabalu. Please refer to the diving trip itinerary's (in this section) for further information on departure times.
One of the Borneo Dream team will meet you at the entrance (archway) to Jesselton Point ten minutes before the trip departs (e.g. 9:20am for a 9:30am boat departure). They will then pay for your Jesselton Point Departure Tax and escort you to Borneo Dream 3 - ready for the start of your scuba diving trip!
All Borneo Dream diving trips include the following:- Dives (as specified per trip either 2 or 3)
- Dive gear - The latest MARES Dive Centre Gear
- Lunch
- Free fresh water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate
- Boat transfers to dive sites on Borneo Dream
- Jesselton Point Departure Tax
- Dive guiding by PADI professionals (Divemaster or an Instructor in Active Teaching Status)
- Boat skippered by UK qualified commercially endorsed (MCA) RYA Advanced Powerboat Skippers (or equivalent)
- Boats are equipped with full First Aid kits along with Medical Oxygen
Borneo Dream scuba diving trips do not include the Sabah Parks Daily Diving Permit (RM 20.00 for Malaysians and RM 50.00 for Non-Malaysians per diver per day). We will show you the Official Receipt for your permit during your dive trip.
To get the most from your Borneo Dream diving trip please bring with you swimming gear, dry clothes, sun tan lotion, sun hat and sun glasses.
Borneo Dream offers safe scuba diving trips - alongside them being high quality and enjoyable. As part of our focus on diver safety we will apply the following practices:
- A Risk and Medical Statement is signed by the participant (in the case of under 18's by the Parent or Guardian). You can choose to complete these before you come on your Borneo Dream holiday. Please go to the downloads page and download, and complete, the 'BD-Complete-Set' PDF (first attachment on the downloads page). If you answer 'YES' to any question on the Medical Form then you will need to provide a Doctors letter certifying you are healthy to dive.
- Any participant under 18 years is supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
- You show your Dive Guide your diver certification card at the start of your scuba diving trip.
- You will be supervised by a PADI Dive Professional that will be with you at all times throughout the days activity. All our Dive Professionals are insured and are in 'Active Teaching Status' with PADI. You can verify this by asking for their qualification card.
