At BorneoDream, for instance, we insist our suppliers meet demanding standards and we visit every supplier periodically to ensure conformance. On this basis we have developed a set of checklists which we use and would like to share with you. Don’t turn up on the day you are planning to undertake a trip and then feel pressured into compromising your standards in order to meet your own deadline Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Responsible operators should welcome enquiries and respond thoroughly and knowledgeably Ask to see appropriate licenses, records and testimonials from satisfied customers. Professional businesses usually display important documentation and will be delighted to show you good customer feedback. If not, the chances are that they don’t have any Use your judgement.
