Enjoy a day trip to Kinabalu National Park & Poring Hot Springs to get a glimpse of the flora & fauna that makes Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia so special - a great combination for seeing mountains, rainforest and the beautiful endemic flowers of Sabah, Borneo.
Your first stop will be at Kinabalu Park. The Park is over 700 square kilometres and home to an amazing range of flora. Kinabalu Park, Sabah has a changing climate that supports rain forest plants in the lower regions then as you ascend you are able to experience different types of plants from coniferous forest to alpine type plants near the summit of Mount Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia.
Once at Kinabalu Park you will enjoy a guided walk along one of the many marked trails, a trip to the well maintained botanical garden - where hopefully you will see some orchids in bloom - and a walk round the exhibition centre.
After lunch you will visit Poring Hot Springs. At Poring Hot Springs you can relax in the sulphuric mineral water - the 'hot' springs - that is claimed to have curing powers. You also enjoy a walk along the canopy walk which provides an amazing way to view the forest from high up in the impressive Mengarris trees.
You can also choose to visit the butterfly farm and learn more about the amazing, and colourful, local species, or, visit the orchid conservation area with the largest live collection of the Sabah Orchid and rare local wild orchids in Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia.
You can enjoy photos of the rainforests and flowers of Sabah.

Poring Hot Springs is located near Ranau, about 25km from the Kinabalu National Park headquarters, but named Poring after the local name for one of the species of bamboo found in the area. You will depart Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for your day trip to Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs around 7:30am and arrive back in Kota Kinabalu by 7pm. Please note is a 2- 3 hour coach transfer for this day trip.
Please note that there is a RM5 fee per camera and RM30 fee per video camera for the Canopy Walkway at Poring Hot Springs.
