Mayne Rock Diving Day Trip (2 dives) near Kota Belud with Borneo Dream Tour DescriptionEnjoy a day diving the 'white rocks' located near Mayne's Rock, located approximately 31 nautical miles NNE of Kota Kinabalu. The unique underwater landscape makes this destination an ideal trip for those wanting to dive somewhere 'different' along the West coast of Sabah. Find a series of large white boulders, raising from the sea bed at around 18m up to 14m, surrounded by large shoals of fish and adorned in hard and soft corals. Alongside this you'll have the chance to dive along a slightly shallower undulating coral reef. The dives range in depths from 10m to 20m and are generally suitable for experienced leisure divers. You can expect to spot a wide variety of marine life including darting shoals of Fusiliers, Yellow Snappers, Bat Fish, Nurse Sharks, Lion Fish, Trumpet Fish, Nudibranches, Puffer fish, Lobsters, Anemone Fish and much more. We normally see the largest shoals of fish at this dive destination compared to all other destinations along the West coast of Sabah. Expect to find marine treasures around every corner as you explore the large boulders and their crevices. Your day trip package includes two dives, hotel pick-ups, return boat transfer, picnic style lunch, use of cylinders and weights and Jesselton Point Landing / Departure tax. Start & End of JourneyPick up from your hotel at 07:00. Return by 17:00. Getting ThereA bus / car ride will take you to and from your hotel to Jesselton jetty. It is then a 2 hour boat transfer to the dive site. During the boat trip you can relax and enjoy the beautiful coastline. RequirementsPlease bring with you a water bottle, swim wear, sun block and underwater torch to get the most from this tour. As with all diving activities there is a certain amount of necessary paperwork to complete. However, you can choose to complete these before you come on your Borneo Dream holiday.
