The colourful and individual nudibranches of Sabah, Borneo. This example is from reefs off Kota Kinabalu. A nudibranch (pronounced nudibrank) - is any member of a suborder of soft-bodied, shell-less marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusks noted for their often extraordinary colors and striking forms. The suborder, Nudibranchia, is the largest suborder of heterobranchs, with more than 3,000 described species. The word "nudibranch" comes from Latin nudus, naked, and Greek brankhia, gills.

An assortment of different types and colours of Lion Fish can be found in Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia. Most are found on out dive and snorkel sites such as Layang Layang, Sipadan and Mabu.

The Borneo Dream Team can offer you some great wreck diving on the Usukan Bay Wrecks, three stunning WWII wrecks with depths ranging from 28 to 40 metres. The wrecks are known as the Usukan Bay, Rice Bowl and the Upside Down Wreck. Travel time from the marina in Kota Kinabalu on our purpose built Dive Boat to Usukan Bay area is approximately 2 hours. We also dive the Pulau Gaya Island wrecks. In this area there are two wrecks - one is a small wooden fishing boat sunk by the Gayana Resort for their own guests, and the more interesting one is about 1 hour offshore located in 45 to 50 metres of water.
