At Borneo Dream we offer a wide range of dive courses for all levels here in Kota Kinabalu including a considerable selection of PADI speciality courses and the PADI Advanced Open Water course. Speciality courses allow you to experience new environments and techniques whilst diving and also improving your knowledge and skills in the particular areas of scuba diving that you enjoy the most.
At some point you will probably be thinking about expanding your scuba diving knowledge beyond the Open Water diver level. Ever thought about diving on wrecks? Maybe diving a little bit deeper? Why not sign up for one of our long distance boat trips to the WW2 Rice Bowl Wreck, 30nm north of Kota Kinabalu. The wreck lies between 26m at its shallowest and 40m at its deepest and so is a perfect location to do your Deep Adventure Dive and Deep Speciality dives. The Wreck is over 100m in length and so is more than adequate to keep you amazed for the four dives involved in the PADI Wreck speciality diver Course and is a perfect dive to make use of Nitrox, extending you no decrompression limit and potentially your bottom time depending on your own air consumption. Speciality courses include between two and four dives depending on the course you choose except for Nitrox. Nitrox is techinally a dry course but that’s not stopping you to combine it with some leisure diving or even using Nitrox mixes to complete another speciality course such as wreck.
Remember the first dive of each PADI speciality course can be credited towards your PADI Advanced Open Water certification and after completing five speciality courses Master Scuba Diver
