Richard Usah - PADI Instructor Extraordinaire
Richard was born in Sarawak (Malaysian Borneo) and later moved to Sabah where he completed a degree in Marine Biology at the University of Sabah prior to starting his diving career.
Richard joined the Borneo Dream team in 2009 as a PADI Divemaster and, with our support and his hard work, became a PADI Instructor at the start of 2010. He has quickly become a popular PADI Instructor with our customers known for his patience, professionalism and smile :).
Richard previously spent three years working as a PADI Divemaster at Sipadan Water Village Resort. As a result of his degree in Marine Biology, and his diving experience, he is very knowledgeable about the corals and marine life you see whilst being guided by him. He is always smiling and loves the underwater world - which shows through during every dive he guides and every course he teaches.
Richard is often impressed with the variety of marine life we find in the local Marine Park - Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park - and has seen Nudibranches there he hadn't seen before (even at Mabul & Sipadan). He has a keen eye when guiding and will always spot something interesting on every dive - test him!
