Eugene Dominic Philips - PADI Instructor & Cute Boy ;)

Eugene, or 'Gene Genie' as he's known by the team, was born in Sabah. He joined the Borneo Dream team in November 2010.

Eugene previously worked for several years as a freelance PADI Divemaster prior to finding a 'home' with the Dream Team. He has vast knowledge of diving from Pulau Mantanani which will be useful when we run our PADI pen Water Diver Courses from Pulau Mantanani during the 'Dry Season'. He can also speak Mandarin which is already proving popular with our diving customers from Taiwan, China and Singapore.

Eugene joined the team as a PADI Divemaster and, with financial support from Borneo Dream, became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in March 2011 (PADI OWSI 485713).

He has quickly settled in and it feels like he's been part of the Dream team for a long time. He is always smiling and loves the underwater world - which shows through during every dive he guides. Gene has proved popular with the ladies on our boat - I'm not sure why ;)

Gene has a keen eye when guiding and will always spot something interesting on every dive - be it Seahorses, Frog Fish, colourful Nudibranches and more - test him!
